Pattaya, Thailand, 25 January 2024<\/strong> \u2014 Pioneering the marine lifestyle in the Gulf of Thailand for more than 30 years, Ocean Marina Jomtien, located on Thailand\u2019s east coast, was recently recognised with the \u201cBest Marina Berth Facilities in Thailand\u201d<\/strong> award at the prestigious Robb Report Thailand Best Of The Best Yachting Awards.<\/p>

Known for its world-class facilities, Ocean Marina Jomtien<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s development and expansion trajectory over the past decade has been in part to cater to a growing number of visiting yachts who wish to explore the stunning cruising grounds of the Gulf of Thailand. Ocean Marina Jomtien also identified the rapid growth of Thai boat ownership early on and aligned their expansion to meet these demands. Today, Ocean Marina Jomtien has become the marina of choice for Thai boat owners on Thailand\u2019s eastern seaboard.<\/p>

Launched in 1989, Ocean Marina Jomtien is a key economic driver of Thailand\u2019s marine industry and remains a leader in marine services and facilities, catering for yachts of all sizes and owners and crews from around the world,\u201d said Napong Paripontpochanapisuti, Managing Director of Ocean Property Co. Ltd<\/strong>.<\/p>

Starting in 2012, Ocean Marina Jomtien implemented a strategic development programme of its berthing facilities which included the replacement of berths, upgrades to power infrastructure and water supply, as well as increasing the number of berths. From a capacity of 200 berths in 2011, the marina has added 255 more berths making it the largest marina in Southeast Asia today with a total of 455 wet berths, 100 trailer boat berths and hardstand capacity for 30 boats.<\/p>

\u201cOur primary focus at Ocean Marina Jomtien is to provide the best facilities for our customers and the highest standard of service. We have invested considerably in the marina\u2019s facilities and expansion over the last decade which has been well received by local and international visiting yachts,\u201d added Scott Finsten, Harbour Master of Ocean Marina Jomtien.<\/strong><\/p>

\u201cIn addition to visiting international yachts, over the past decade we have seen an exponential increase in Thais who are buying boats, enjoying the marine lifestyle and basing themselves at Ocean Marina Jomtien. And we\u2019ve also seen a steady increase in superyachts visiting the area – in fact 2023 was our biggest year yet welcoming a record number of superyachts to Ocean Marina Jomtien.\u201d<\/p>

In recognition of Jomtien as a premium leisure destination in Pattaya, Ocean Marina Yacht Club rebranded to Ocean Marina Jomtien earlier this year. In addition to the marina\u2019s expansion, the onshore facilities have also undergone a redevelopment with a renovation and expansion of the popular marina front resort which has now reopened as Ocean Marina Resort Pattaya Jomtien<\/strong>, together with upgrades to F&B outlets and the reimagined marina-front RIVA Restaurant & Bar<\/strong>.<\/p>
